Do Not Miss This Restaurant!!!!

Our hotel recommended this restaurant and it did not disappoint!! I feel Ouzeri gets overlooked as it doesn't have a view but it is amazing! The staff is so friendly and warm, like you are visiting family. Everyone is attentive and welcoming and works together to make sure you are taken care of. And then...... THE FOOD! We had greek salad and moussaka as well as some other dishes and we were in heaven!! The dished were authentic and homemade-truly our best meal in Santorini! Don't go to Santorini without stopping here!!!

Great stop with good options for allergies!

Great food and a lot of options! I am gluten free and dairy free. I ordered the homemade dolmades and gemista (both also vegan, I believe), and it was all soooo good. Would highly recommend eating here. The rest of my family doesn’t have allergies and here are their reviews. Sister’s review for the kritharoto with octopus: great combination of flavors, and a generous portion of octopus Parents’ review for the meatballs in ouzo sauce and the mushroom sauté: very good! Enjoyed it.

Best meal we’ve had this trip !

Guys, I’m not joking when I say this was the best meal myself & my partner had in Santorini. It had the best service we’ve probably ever had. The staff are so friendly and always have gorgeous smiles on their faces. It’s a cosy spot that serves delicious food. For starters we had tzatziki with bread & fried feta with drizzled honey (!) for mains we had pork chops coated in honey with mash potatoes & moussaka. The moussaka, I actually struggle to put into words how unbelievable this was. I even told the waitress when she came to take our plates away that it’s the best moussaka I’ve ever had. We wish we had more days to visit this place more than once and a bit sad we found it quite late into our holiday. This place is an absolute gem. You must visit & tip well. You’ll understand once you’ve been ! Thank you for making our trip extra special <3

A Santorini Jewel That Feels Like Family from First Bite!

Ouzeri has been delighting diners in Fira for more than 15 years, and it’s easy to see why. Chef-owner Giorgos Stakias, trained at the Cordon Bleu in Paris, blends classic technique with a devotion to Santorini’s local ingredients. The result is pure magic. We sat on the breezy terrace, two stories above the streets of Fira, and let our incredible server, Theo, take charge. He chose every dish and paired them with a crisp local Assyrtiko wine that tasted like liquid sunshine. The Santorini tomatokeftedes were golden and crispy, bursting with the sweet intensity of the island’s famous tomatoes, lightened by herbs and a touch of salt from the sea air itself. The fava bean dip was smooth and velvety, topped with onions and briny capers that made each bite sing with earthy depth and sharp brightness. The recipe and step-by-step photos of how to make yourself at home are on their website! The stuffed calamari was unforgettable—the hood filled with aromatics, herbs, and cheese, carefully sealed with toothpicks, then lightly grilled until tender and smoky. Each bite was balanced and perfect. The moussaka was everything you want: silky layers of eggplant, warmly spiced meat, and a creamy béchamel topping that melted together into comfort on a plate. And the pastitsio? Without question the best I’ve ever had. Perfectly al dente pasta, deeply flavorful meat sauce, and a cloud-light béchamel on top. It was one of those rare dishes you know will stay with you long after the trip ends. Service was outstanding from start to finish. Theo treated us like old friends, and the owners themselves stopped by to greet us warmly. The whole team radiated the kind of hospitality that makes you feel like family. If you’re in Santorini, don’t miss this place. Between the history, the chef’s artistry, the breeze on the terrace, and food that redefines Greek classics, Ouzeri is the restaurant you’ll tell everyone about when you get home. Insider tip: Trust your server to recommend dishes!

They offer menus in 4 languages and the server can converse in all. It is an excellent place near the greek cathedral with great views but not the sunset. It is open and friendly you are unrushed and enjoy a super evening and the staff are excellent as is the food.

Eat at your Greek Grandmother's Kitchen

This is where all the locals who work at the bars and restaurants along the cliff eat. Was recommended to me by my waiter at PKs. Ouzeri is a certain type of Greek Restaurant that specializes in ouzo and their form of small tapa like plates called Mezedes. Great for single dining or in a group. Ouzeri had wonderful ouzo as well as the best octopus I've ever eaten... That means better than Peru and Portugal. The staff is great and recognized and waved to me everyday I passed by their spot, even if I was heading elsewhere. Aso get the baklava with ice cream.

Best dinner in Santorini!

A little hard to find but SO worth it. The best food hands down of our 8 day trip through Greece. Turn left before the bank and go up 2 sets of stairs. The chicken with creamy sauce and rice is an absolute MUST order. The baklava with ice cream is melt in your mouth good. Other dishes we loved were the spicy meatballs and fava. Lovely ambience out on the terrace area with blankets provided for the cool evenings.

So good we went again!

We ate here on our 3rd night in Fira and were so warmly welcomed from the minute we arrived you just knew it was going to be a great experience. The food was excellent and great value plus you could buy a 500ml carafe of good house wine for just 8 euros!! Most other restaurants offer average wines by the bottle only costing anywhere between 30 - 40 euros! Finally the staff just made our night as they were all so happy, ready to have a laugh yet super efficient and helpful. Got to give a special mention to George as he was amazing and also the lady with the 3 pairs of glasses! All in all it was so good we went again 2 night later and were welcomed like old friends. Worth all of 5 stars.

Blown away by the love and attention- and the food was amazing

OMG! What an amazing place. The maitre d' greeted us like long lost friends....... no, more like family. Her smile and warm hearted greeting was matched by the food and the gentle ambiance of a place that made my wife and I feel like love struck honeymooners again. Maybe the shot of ouzo that was offered us and we shared even before we ordered helped chill us into a lovely mood. I had the stuffed calamari, which was grilled and prepared with much love and attention. My vegetarian wife had the risotto which was bursting with flavour. This place is easy to find, next to the central cathedral church, and easily accessible. I'm in love 😍...........

Simply the best

We visited here 8 times during our two week stay in Fari. I cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough. The choice and quality of food, particularly the moussaka is outstanding. The staff (everyone of them) are so welcoming and friendly. We even had the honour and pleasure of meeting the boss. A lovely lady. We became friends as we as just customers- feeling like we were part of the family. Very affordable. Truly loved the restaurant and all the staff. All the very best to you all. xxx

Fantastic Authentic Greek Cuisine!

I’ll start by saying I NEVER WRITE REVIEWS. This was legitimately the best food I had in Greece. My wife is Greek and we were craving some authentic home-cooked dishes and happened to stumble onto this restaurant late into our trip after being disappointed so many times other places. The pricing is also cheaper than other places around the island so you’re able to get more bang for your buck. Also the staff was just amazing. Our waiter gave us great recommendations and made us feel at home, even gave us a hug on the way out 😂 10/10 we will be going back there tonight!

Amazing, authentic Greek cuisine and the best veggie moussaka!!

We had been walking around Fira all afternoon and it got to about 2.30/3 and we noticed this restaurant hidden away. A lot of places were quite full but there were only a few people here so at first we were skeptical but then thought perhaps it's a hidden gem... it was 100% a hidden gem! The service was amazing, I can't remember the name of our waiter but he was very attentive and his recommendations were outstanding. He recommended the veggie moussaka and said it was the best in Santorini, even nicer than the meat one! I can confirm it was the best - it was so nice I didn't order it anywhere else during our holiday. All of the dishes and drinks were lovely and all for a very reasonable price. If you find yourself in Fira, avoid all the swanky, cliff side places and come here - can 100% guarantee you will not regret it.

We discovered this little gem late on the first night after delays at the airport. We were welcomed in no bother despite it being nearly 11pm. The food was fantastic. (I can highly recommend the stuffed Calamari). The staff were friendly and attentive, Having spent a week in Santorini, it was by far the best and most authentic Greek food we had. We loved it so much we had a booking for day three for our family of four. We were there for a wedding with a group of 19 total. The rest of the group met for a drink and we decided to see if they could accommodate the rest of our party. They moved tables and squeezed us all in and I have to say everyone agreed the food was fabulous and we had a great night. If you want great food and drinks at a reasonable price then it’s worth a visit.

Delicious food while watching the lunar eclipse of the century!

We expected an ordinary Greek tavern and enjoyed an excellent gourmet dinner in a beautiful set-up just next to Phira's cathedral. The lamb shank was exceptional, slow cooked in paper and the orange salad very inventive. The napolitan pasta for our kids was also great with beautiful tomoatos. The lady boss at the entrance is elegant and effortlessly polite and the staff were fun and friendly. From our table we could see the sea on the west coast and east coast, and had a view on Pyrgos under the full moon. Could not have been more charming.

Lovely setting, lovely food

We came here for a lunch and found the food delicious. The lunch menu is slightly different to the evening menu, but again we got a selection of small plates to try the delicious food avavilable. We ordered the Santorini saad which was delicious, but found later than the Greek salad was even nicer! The fresh bread was light and fluffy, and the selection of dips tasty. Be warned- the spicy feta dip IS spicy!! And friend potatoes are actually French fries haha. We were expecting some kind of friend new potato I think. The setting doesn’t have a view of the caldera, but it is clean and pretty and the toilets were SPOTLESS!!! I would return there just for the toilets!! I would also eat on my return as the food was that good lol. I’d highly recommend the local white wine. Served in 0.5l carafes it was smooth and velvety.
